Firstly, the word Chakra is an ancient Sanskrit word which means Wheel. Chakras, which do rotate by the way, are located in your ethereal body, not your physical body. You can't actually see them.
The Chakra system consists of Seven Energy Centers which correspond to various systems throughout your body.
1st Chakra Introduction

Your 1st Chakra is known as the Root Chakra. Located at the base of your spine, its Glandular connection is the adrenal gland, which secretes the hormones; cortisol, among other steroid hormones. These hormones are the basic ones that are secreted during the fight or flight scenario and is hardwired in to our critical need for survival.
As you learn to open your Root chakra, you will feel more patient, stable, and secure in your life. You will feel that you can manifest your dreams and that you have all the resources inside of you to handle any sort of problem that arises. You trust the process in life. You feel a sense of belonging and a connection with the planet and that you have a right to be here.
2nd Chakra Session

The 2nd Chakra is known as the Sacral Chakra. Located in your pelvic region, the glandular connection is the ovaries or testes, which controls sexual development. Associated body parts are the sex organs, bladder, uterus in women, and prostate in men.
As you learn to open your sacral chakra, you feel more enough, and that you deserve the good things in life that you say you want. Sexuality and money are associated with this chakra. So as you open this Chakra, you naturally feel abundant, prosperous, and deserving of physical pleasure.
3rd Chakra Session

The 3rd Chakra is known as the Solar Plexus Chakra. Located in your Solar Plexus region, the glandular connection is the stomach, liver, kidneys, and pancreas.

The 6th chakra is known as the brow chakra. Located between the eyebrows, the glandular connection is the pituitary gland, which influences metabolism, growth, and other hormones. The eyes and sinuses are also affected by the brow chakra.
As you learn to open your brow chakra, you gain more wisdom; about your health, happiness, and relationships. You respect the wisdom that comes from your life experience and you just know that you know. You are better able to discern what is good or bad for you. Your imagination becomes clearer. You can trust your intuition and tap into an inner knowing part of yourself.
7th Chakra Session

Your 7th chakra is known as the crown chakra. Located at the top of the skull, the glandular connection is the pineal gland, which produces melatonin and regulates your body clock. It is also associated with the upper skull, cerebral cortex, and the skin.
