Hypnosis and Happiness

Create a great sense of strength and ability to just be present and peaceful and happy in the moment. Find a sense of calm and inner peace, just accepting the present moment and knowing that it's just fine right now.

The first thing to understand about happiness is this. Happiness is generated by you and you alone. Nobody and no thing can make you happy. Sure, you can get temporary moments of that “high” feeling when something wonderful happens in your life. But, there is a difference between true happens and a change in your mood. Your mood changes all the time and is not something that you can depend on. Once the “high” of having that new car, new house, new job, windfall of money, new love wears off, you soon return to your standard level of happiness.

So, how does one make themselves happy? First off, you have to get in touch with the real you. Without really knowing who you really are at the deepest level, how can you truly know what makes you happy? If you have spent your life in pursuit of pleasing others and being less than genuine with yourself because you are afraid of what others may thing of you, then there is some work that needs to be done in the area of strengthening your self-esteem and self-love. How can you love yourself or be happy when you aren’t being the real you?

When you become the real you, everything tends to fall in line because you now you chose to only do that which is in alignment with the real you and what makes the real you happy. When you BE who you are 100% exactly, then you DO what makes you happy, and then you will HAVE what you want in your life. You must BE you first. Many people take an approach to life that goes, when I HAVE this, then I will DO that, and then I will BE happy.

This is a victim approach to life. As long as you approach life this way, you will be waiting for something outside of you to make you happy and you give up control over how you feel in your life.

Another important ingredient to happiness is being in the moment. This is sometimes easier said than done. It takes practice. It takes diligence. It’s easy to get lost in the thoughts about the past regrets, past guilt, or wishing things were right now they way they were then. At the same time, anxieties and fears about the future is no way to live either. All you really have and can feel happy about is this moment right now. It’s fine to learn lessons from the past, but don’t dwell on it. And don’t make decisions about your life based on the past. Learn from it and move on and go for what you want out of life regardless of what has happened before.

Of course, having goals for the future is fine too, but don’t spend your life living in “what’s next” Be here right now. The more time you can spend focusing on exactly what is happening right now, and the less time you spend thinking, analyzing, worrying, etc. the happier person you will be.

Recognize that happiness is a choice you make. It is not an end result. It is part of the process. You don’t achieve happiness because of something. You simply be happy or you don’t. If you haven’t felt happy in awhile, ask yourself, “What kind of thoughts am I having?” Be honest.

No one and nothing else can choose how you feel. Only you. If someone says something that you don’t like, you don’t have to let that affect your mood. Recognize that it is their opinion, the way they perceive you or life through their own thought system. When you are able to appreciate that everyone has their own though system and usually the way other people think is so dramatically different from the way you think, you can get along much better in life. You can accept other peoples realities, even if it isn’t true for you. Having this high level of acceptance of others will make a huge difference in your level of happiness.

Discipline yourself to be happy. Do something to lift your spirits each day. You have to raise your own vibration.
