Has war really affected you to the point where you are unable to focus on life?

Have you had a really difficult time during combat or experienced something you find difficult to get over?

Do you keep reliving the same traumatic events over and over in your head?

Are you looking for a way to get over the past and move on with your future?

You are here to make a fresh start and to move beyond certain events from the past. You have an intense desire today to live a more peaceful life. There are many people, just like you, who have found themselves in similar situations, unable to steadily and easily release the negative associations from a bad event. Many of those same people however eventually realized that its a natural process to be able to steadily recover. They finally realized, just as you can today, that doing so is completely and 100% within your full control. Because you have the power to choose what and how to think.

You have the ultimate power. Clearly, on some level you already realize this because you chose to handle this on your own, using the power of your mind. You have discovered a sound solution in self-hypnosis and here you are today making a huge step to take back your life. And I want to acknowledge you and I want you to acknowledge you. You have been so brave and courageous. And you are still as brave as ever as you make this decision now to completely move on from events which no longer serve your highest good.

Regaining this control in your life feels good, because you are learning how to live again. You can undergo an incredible process as you learn how to reframe your past experiences. When you reframe something, you learn to look at it differently. You can feel safe and secure in this very relaxed state of mind, and you can be free to express your emotions if you need to. Expressing your emotions and your feelings is life-changing because it allows you to heal.

You can be changing your perception of these events and pushing these events out of your mind as you conquer the past and create the future. This innovative technique is also known as Somatic Experiencing and it allows you to relive and reprocess these events in your mind.

This hypnosis download can help you get over those traumatizing events that hold you back from living a normal life. It can help you relax, let go, and move on with your life. The fact of the matter is that we all go through certain events in our life which are not always so pleasant, and we have a hard time dealing with it. Sometimes our mind is not able to handle these events because we let our thoughts get the best of us. Exercising our thought control through our subconscious mind can help in the process of healing and moving on.

I downloaded this hypnosis session out of desperation to find something to deal with my Generalised Anxiety Disorder. The normal sessions for anxiety and stress weren't that efficient for me. So searching out Victoria's website for some other mp3's I found this one. Of course before I purchased it I made a research in the web for the PTSD and I found out that it had many syptoms in common with Generalised Anxiety Disorder.

I also read the reviews and I will totally agree that this is not only for Soldiers. Because a trauma is being perceived from our brain the same way no matter what was the cause for it. So I gave it a try and downloaded. From the very first time I listened to it I got so relaxed, I mean so far it is the only hypnosis session that relaxed me so deep - probably the only one that I could reach the Delta waves level!

After a week of use I started feeling more calm. More safe. In the beginning when I had to deal with stressful situations and originaly my fight or flight response was activated, I noticed I was reacting very passively, like I was in a trance. So that felt scary in the beginning, because I thought not being able to react to stressful situations is not that good. But in the end I found out that it was my body's reaction in order to adjust and find a balance how to react in a new way with the old situations! Highly recommended.

Last but not list, it helped me with my creativity and I think that this was due to the extreme relaxation it offers!

This hypnosis recording is useful for anyone overcoming any traumatic experience and really is not limited to just soldiers. Civilians can experience PTSD or debilitating flashbacks and emotional disturbances as a result of violent criminal encounters such as rape, violent animal attacks, or severe life threatening situations like auto accidents. Anyone surviving these events could benefit from this hypnosis session in my opinion.

The hypnosis session begins with a light induction where you are asked to visualize your seven chakras or energies corresponding to different parts of your body, i.e. red for you root chakra at you waist and violent for your crown chakra at your head. Overall, the induction only initiates a light alpha wave or meditative state.

The suggestion portion of the hypnosis session engages you in a "somatic experience" whereby you re-experience your traumatic event while in a calm and peaceful state as a distant observer to help desensitize you to your traumatic experience. First, the hypnosis session makes you go to your "happy place" such as a childhood home or tree house. Once at your happy place you are then protected by a divine light so that you can't be hurt. Second, the hypnosis session then has you visualize walking down a hall with doors and opening a door to your trauma experience whereby you only experience as much stress as you can withstand. Third, you re-imagine your traumatic experience as a distant observer where you are safe from harm. Finally, you are suggested to forgive yourself and others for the tragedy of the event.

Overall, I found the hypnosis session useful to help put my traumatic experience in perspective but am still having a hard time disengaging the rage pathway of my brain. However, the field of PTSD research is a rapidly evolving field according to the book "Surviving Survival" by Laurence Gonzales. Alternatively, Gonzales recommends engaging in a repetitive physical activity like fishing in the case of Ernest Hemmingway to force your brain to break the cycle of constant traumatic flashbacks and emotional disturbances because engaging the brain in repetitive physical activities forces the brain to use different mental pathways allowing your psyche to heal. Examples of repetitive physical activities include talking, writing, knitting, traveling, walking, golfing, construction projects, education, etc. I recommend the Gonzales book for survivors of traumatic events because chapters 14 and 15 of the Gonzales book outline the process for rebuilding your life.
