Most of us have heard this advice from other people, but the reality is that we try to live in the past that doesn’t exist anymore when we suffer from the the nostalgia of heartbreak. To deal with heartbreak and rejection, it is imperative that you try to occupy your mind with something new. Trying out and learning new things for healing a heartbreak is an advice that is too mainstream and “cliche”, but it is actually one of the most effective things to do. Occupying your mind with something new will not only help you forget about your heartbreak but it will also allow you to learn a new skill and meet new people.

Furthermore, trying to go out with people that has the same interests as you can help you deal with the pain of rejection. The feeling of being “unappreciated” can make you really feel down and depressed. But if you are going out with people that has the same interests as you — photography, surfing, running.. whatever it might be — it will allow you to showcase your skills and interest. Soon, your confidence and feeling of being appreciated will help you get back on your feet again.
