Letting Go of Control

Anyone who’s ever grappled with that one will appreciate how difficult of a task it can seem to be at the time.

And what’s so frustrating about when you finally get to that point where you know you have trouble letting go of control, comes at a point when you are already feeling so out of control, not in control of that thing you are trying to get control over right?

It can cause you to feel so impatient, anxious, so frustrated, so miserable.

Down deep inside, you know that you are doing this to yourself. And if you are like myself, and you have dealt with the issue on and off forever, sometimes you can successfully let go and sometimes you feel like you can not. You may feel flabbergasted, that yet again, you’re dealing with the same old issue of being out of control and not able to let go of control.

Alright, there ya go … I’ve said it. You’ve admitted it. Now, let’s take a deep breath. And let’s try and look at this from another angle.

Control Life By Letting Go Of The Control

1. The only way you’re going to get past this is first you have to admit that you are here; having a hard time letting go of control. Just admit it. Say it out loud. “I am having a hard time letting go of control.” Because think about it, that is what is making this experience hard for you. Something is not lining up the way you think it should according to your map of reality and you are trying to make it not that way anymore but you can’t fix this yourself through any kind of force.

2. Embrace that. “Even though I am having a hard time letting go of control, I accept and love myself.” In other words, you love yourself even though you are not perfect. Even though you want to be in control, you love and accept yourself anyway. Saying this enough times should at least neutralize the situation It may not make you feel fantastic, but it should also help you to accept that what is going is something you are doing, and you accept yourself, even though …

3. Realize … the ONLY thing you really can control is your thought about that event.Words like “Should” need to be expunged from your vocabulary right now. It’s a very harmful word. When you are using that word, it sets you back to steps 1 or 2. So, once you realize that how you experience this is up to you and how you think about it directs how you feel about it.

4. Ask …. what would I need be thinking in order to be ok with it? Some options you may wish to consider at this step are Trusting, Having Faith, Attracting, Allowing, Accepting a Different Result and Being Patient. Alright, so we all know if it’s meant to be it will be. Ya know, sometimes we can get so caught up in a lot of small details that we lose site of the bigger picture. Is there another way that you can accomplish this? Is there something that you want to happen that hasn’t happened yet that you’re starting to lose hope or faith or trust that it ever will happen? One of the fastest ways I know how to attract that thing is to let go of it and trust that the universe has something even better in store for you and visualize it coming to pass. You don’t have to do much about it expect ACT on INSPIRED thought.

Remember this. You will ultimately get what you want when you truly believe you can have it. When you truly believe you can have it, you will stop trying to force it or make it happen during your particular time frame. And trust me folks, I know ALLLL about it. I was inspired today to write about this for that reason.

I wanted to share this with you in hopes that at least one person will follow the outline and gain benefit from it as I have.
