Hypnosis for Dream Recall

The Basis for learning dream control begins with Dream Recall. Everybody dreams at night. Maybe you don’t remember your dreams when you wake up in the morning but, you typically, in an 8 hour night of sleeping have around 5 or 6 dreams.

Dreaming is similar to being in hypnosis, only you are much deeper. You’re actually asleep and not in hypnosis.

Recalling your Dreams

First off, if you go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning, will help you with dream recall because you are mentally creating a habit of entering that same state, which will lead you to the habit of recalling your dreams every morning when you wake up.

* Get yourself a nice dream journal.

* Get in the habit of waking up 15 minutes earlier than normal.

Also, learn to wake up naturally, without the use of an alarm clock. Tell yourself what time you are going to get up and you will. Then, with that added 15 minutes, stay in bed with your eyes closed and remain quiet and still for a little bit. Ask yourself, what did I dream last night? Wait for your unconscious mind to present you with the answer. Focus on your breathing and being calm. It will come to you. Then write it down in your dream journal. Don’t get lazy here and think you will remember it later. It’s likely you won’t. You are still very connected to your subconscious mind at this point. So, take advantage of it and you will be happy that you did.

Put yourself into a trance state:

Here’s an easy way to induce your own state of trance:

Begin by paying particular attention to your breathing. Slow your breathing down. Breathing through your nose. Breathing in to a slow count of four and out to a slow count of eight. Look at a spot on the wall until your eyes are so watery and burning and that you just have to close them. Then deepen your state of trance by telling each part of your body to relax. Beginning with your head, and working your way down to your belly. Then deepen your trance even more by picturing yourself in one of your favorite spots on the planet, like the beach or the mountains or a beautiful lush green forest or whatever feels nice to you. And you may even say at that point, Ahh, so good to let go. So good to relax. I am relaxed now

Finally, give yourself the following suggestion:

I will recall my dreams. And continue repeating this suggestion until you fall asleep. Your goal is to allow that to be the last thought on your mind before you fall asleep.

As you focus on your dream recall, you may also notice that you begin to have more dreams, more vivid dreams, and more meaningful dreams.

Before attempting any other advanced dream techniques, such as interpreting your dreams, or dream incubation or lucid dreaming … recalling your dreams would be the first basic step before taking on these more advanced routines. So, get really good at dream recall. Only you know when you have achieved this. You will be able to look into your dream journal and see that you are writing down at least 2 or 3 or more of your dreams every day.

You may even be able to look through your dream journal and detect patterns, similar kinds of dreams that occur or dreaming the same dream more than once. The more detail you write about in your dream journal the more you will be able to detect the similarities and the differences between your dreams.

Once you have achieved the goal of recalling your dreams, the next logical step for you to take is interpreting your dreams.
