Weight and Negative Thinking

Weight and Negative Thinking:

We have all heard the old adage that you can look at a glass half empty or half full.

You may not fully realize it right now but it is your thoughts that create EVERYTHING you have right now.

Your thoughts affect how you feel, which affects what you do.

An example of how this works is:

You think: I am Lazy

You feel: Lazy, tired, and unmotivated.

You end up staying home and not working out.

Another THOUGHT that limits people from having what they truly want is that they INHERITED the problems that they have, thinking That's just the way I am and there's nothing I can do about it.

Problems are not inherited. They are learned at a very early age.

    * Between ages 0-4, 50% of your programs (thought patterns/beliefs) are in place.
    * Between ages 4-8, another 30%.
    * Between ages 8-18 another 15%.

That means that by the time you are 18 years old, 95% of who you are; i.e. the way you think about life, is already in place.

You learned how to talk to yourself, how to treat yourself, how to eat, exercise, etc. mostly from your parents or other caregivers.

While you may not be able to get rid of these programs, you can CHANGE them.

Your thoughts are your own internal dialogue. Otherwise known as affirmations. Affirmations can be positive or negative. You can influence your outcome just by the words you say to yourself.

The subconscious mind tends to draw mental images according to the words you are using. For example if you say, I am sick and tired of being fat. That is about the worst thing you can tell yourself. Your mind creates sick tired and fat. It would be more beneficial to say something like, I want to be healthy and in good shape. You see the difference? Your mind can know hold an image of health and being in good shape.

Words to eliminate from your vocabulary

Be careful with negative words like don't, not, wont, etc. The subconscious mind does not know negative words. Again, think about how it likes to imagine pictures. So, if you were to say, I do not like junk food It's the same as saying that you like it.

Should and shouldn't: Nobody likes to be should upon. It makes you feel wrong. It implies an obligation or duty. It's an expectation. Think about how you feel when someone tells you You should... You feel the same way when you say it to yourself. A more positive way to get your point across is to say could, would like to, shall, or want to.

Can't: Implies that you lack the capacity to do something.

But: Usually invalidates the preceding sentence. I.e. You are beautiful, but...

Try: Signifies doubt.
