Feeling Good

Here are a few ways that I can share with you how to make yourself feel good for at least 15 minutes a day.

Listen to Music - Whether it's classical or upbeat music ... just really take time to tune in to the music and or the words, the beat. Soon you will find yourself feeling more upbeat.

Meditate - Take 15 minutes to completely unplug from your thoughts. Try to think about absolutely nothing for 15 minutes. You will raise your vibration.

Go for a Jog - This, of course, gets those endorphines (feel good chemicals) going in your body.

Talk to a friend - Just the connection of reaching out to a friend whether it is to console them or the other way around or just to laugh about past events you have experienced.

Listen to Hypnosis - No matter what hypnosis program you listen to, it will get your mind into a much more positive state.

Go to the Beach - You may not have the beach 10 minutes down the street, but maybe it's a park, or a beautiful place in nature. If none of these exist, just get a CD with some beach sounds and pretend to be there.

Walk your Dog - I'm not much of a dog person, but I have heard that this helps.

Pet your Cat - Now, this is something I know helps! Pets are just so unconditionally loving and cute and cuddly and loveable. You can't help but to feel good when you touch them.

Make Love - Of course, who has ever been able to keep a frown on their face when they're making love. Also releases chemicals in the body while you are emotionally connected with (hopefully) the one you love.

Make a List of Great Things about YOU - When is the last time you said something nice about yourself. This will help you to see all the good things and help you to feel really good because you may remember lots of things you forgot that are great about YOU.

Sing - It doesn't matter whether you are bad or good, just sing ... sing a song ... sing out loud ... sing out strong ... sing of good things, not bad ... sing of happy, not sad ... la la la la la la...

Read a Book - Read a nice book. It will take your mind off of your worries and into something that may make you feel inspired.

Journal about things you are Grateful for - Do you find yourself sort of taking the things around you for granted. When you think about all the wonderful things in your life, your health, your job, the air, your friends, your house, etc... you begin to become aware of just how good life really is for you and you attract even more.

Volunteer - Doing something for someone else REALLY makes you feel great, especially when you do it unconditionally.

Go for a Walk - Just get outside and be mindful of the sensations in your body as you are walking. Feel your feel on the ground. Feel the air brush against your skin. Feel the sunlight on your face. OK, OK .. I live in Florida, but ... maybe you could bundle up really good and go for a walk?

Concentrate on keeping your posture upright - Your physiology makes a huge difference in the way you feel. Notice how when you look down and are hunched over, you can feel depressed or down. Now, try looking up and standing up straight and notice how hard it is to feel bad in that posture.

Watch a comedy - Laughter is one huge key to having a great attitude and good health. Do what you have to do to laugh every day. Whether it's a comedy or being around funny people or reading a book of jokes. Laughter heals.

Learn something New - When your mind is focused on learning something new, you feel good. Also, your brain is firing in new ways that is good for your brain. It literally keeps you younger to learn new things.

Visualize yourself as Happy - Your subconscious mind thinks in pictures. If you can see yourself smiling, laughing, and happy in your mind, it will adjust the setting of your modd to make you feel the way it thinks you feel.

Become Mindful of whatever you are doing - Whether you are cleaning, doing homework, working, or talking with another human being, put ALL of your attention on just that one thing and watch what happens. It's difficult to do, but with practice you will find that being mindful, (staying present in the moment) is the key to peace and happiness.
